The following services are a list of services Matthew Barnes Interior Design can provide:

1. Onsite Consultation
Onsite consultations with clients are the starting point of any project to discuss ideas, requirements, challenges and brief. Clients can request this as a singular service or entry point for quotation.

2. Site measure
A detailed measure and photographic survey of each site documents the physical details pertaining to a project.

3. Concept Creation
Ambience boards (A3) created for the client to demonstrate ideas and stylistic direction of the project in line with the client brief, to create a clear vision moving forward.

4. Space Planning (Sketches or overlays)
Optimising plans for functionality, flow and comfort, including zoning, circulation, and furniture layout. This happens early in a project.

5. Interior Architecture & Joinery Design
Designing built-in elements like kitchens, bathrooms, wardrobes, and custom cabinetry to align with the overall aesthetic and function.

6. Material & Finishes Selection – Schedule and Board
Specifying by scheduling appropriate finishes such as flooring, tiles, paint, cabinetry, bench tops, and wall treatments based on durability, aesthetics and budget. Materials Board created with samples.

7. Furniture, Fixture & Equipment (FF\&E) Specification
Selecting and sourcing furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, PC Items, appliances, artworks and accessories tailored to the design and lifestyle needs. Schedules, plans and boards.

8. Lighting Design
Designing lighting plans to include ambient, task and accent lighting, and specifying light fittings that enhance both function and mood.

9. Documentation for Construction
Preparing detailed drawings and schedules required for builders and trades to carry out the design accurately.

10. Project Coordination
Liaising with builders, trades, and suppliers during construction or fit-out to clarify and deliver.

11. Procurement
The purchasing, supply and delivery coordination of materials, PC items, appliances, light fixtures, furniture, art and accessories.

12. Styling              
Providing final styling to complete the space. This can be coordinated with photography.
